How to save TikTok Stories
- 1
Open the story on TikTok
Stories appear above the feed for creators you follow. They last 24 hours, then disappear. Open the one you want in the app or in a browser at tiktok.com.
- 2
Copy the link to that specific story
In the app: Share → Copy Link. The link points to a single story slide, not the creator's full set. Remember — after 24 hours from posting, the story is gone and the link stops working.
- 3
Paste the URL into the field above
The service treats it like a regular video or photo. TikTok stories come in two flavors: short video (like the feed) and static image slides — we handle both, format auto-detects.

MP4 or JPEG downloads
Video stories save as MP4 at source quality. Photo stories save as JPEG, the same way regular photo posts do. If the creator deleted the story early — sorry, no way to recover. Mobile flow is in the homepage guide; audio extraction in MP3.
What to know about Stories
Only live for 24 hours
Unlike regular videos and posts, stories auto-delete after a day. If you want to keep one — save it right away, don't wait.
Anonymous to the creator
TikTok doesn't tell the creator who downloaded their story. Viewing is logged (the creator sees who watched), but downloading is invisible.
Original quality
You get the same stream that plays in the app. No compression, no length truncation (stories cap at 60 seconds anyway).
Common questions about Stories
Can I download a story that already expired?
No. After 24 hours TikTok deletes the story from its servers — no tool can recover it. Sometimes creators repost a story as a Highlight on their profile; in that case the URL stays alive.
Will the creator find out I saved their story?
No. TikTok shows the creator a viewer list, but downloads aren't marked. A download is indistinguishable from a regular view as far as the creator can see.
What about private stories?
Stories are visible only to followers, or only to friends (depending on the creator's settings). If you don't have viewing access, you won't get a link either. We don't bypass privacy.
Can I save all of a creator's stories at once?
Each story is a separate URL — save one by one. That's the standard flow for us — TikTok doesn't expose a "whole story set" endpoint.
What format?
Video stories — MP4, photo stories — JPEG. Same formats as regular videos and photo posts. No exotic containers.
Can I save through my phone?
Yes, on iPhone via Safari or Android via Chrome. The flow is identical to regular video saving.
Will the story's audio be saved?
For video stories — yes, the audio is in the MP4. For photo stories with background music, extract audio separately via the MP3 page.
Stories saved as Highlights — same thing?
Technically Highlights are stored as regular posts with permanent URLs — they don't disappear. For downloading purposes it's identical: paste the URL, get the file.
Saving stories is completely invisible to the creator — TikTok doesn't track this operation. At the same time we don't bypass privacy: if a story isn't visible to you, you can't download it either.
